UK Maths Trust Challenge
UPDATE
Congratulations to our four Bronze certificate winners and our Silver certificate winner. We are all very proud of the hard work all the students put into this competition.
The UKMT (UK Mathematics Trust) competition is an intense 60 minutes of 25 multiple-choice questions designed to stretch minds and spark curiosity. With a focus on mathematical reasoning, precision and fluency, the challenge really gets students thinking beyond the obvious.
Previously, individual students of Havant Academy have entered the competition but for the first time this year, a whole Year 8 Maths class have risen to the challenge.
The UKMT (UK Mathematics Trust) is dedicated to advancing young people’s education in mathematics, primarily through organising exciting and thought-provoking competitions like this one.

Our Year 10 BTEC Music 🎵 #students, alongside a group of aspiring Year 9 musicians, last night enjoyed a fantastic trip to Coalesce a brilliant local gig 🎤 hosted by MusicFusion at the Portsmouth Guildhall Coalesce provides a safe space for young artists to experience performing on a proper stage, complete with professional sound and lighting. The event showcased an incredible diversity of genres, treating our students to everything from pop and musical theatre to high-energy punk and metal. The atmosphere was incredibly inspiring, and the live music truly struck a chord with everyone who attended.
