NSPCC Number Day 2026

NSPCC Number Day 2026: A Roman Numeral Success

On Friday 6th February 2026, Havant Academy transformed into a world of ancient numbers to celebrate NSPCC Number Day. To mark the occasion, every date across the school was displayed in Roman Numerals (VI.II.MMXXVI), challenging students and staff alike to decode the day!

Students stepped away from standard Maths lessons to engage in interactive problem-solving and logic challenges across the academy.

Highlights included:

  • Countdown: In Maths, students tested their mental agility with the famous "Number Round," racing against the clock to reach target numbers.

  • The Library Challenge: Students hunted for books with numbers in the title, tasked with matching them to the correct Roman Numeral.

  • Bridge Crossing: A classic logic puzzle that required teamwork and strategic thinking to solve.

  • Number Games: Various other number-based games kept the energy high and proved that Maths can be both fun and fundamental.

It was a fantastic day of learning and fun, all while raising awareness for a vital cause. Well done to everyone who took part!
