Year 7 students took part in the RSPB birdwatch; we were very excited to spot a red kite. They have also been working on their observational skills and drawn with charcoal.
Years 8 and 9 have been busy putting up shelters and making their own charcoal over the fire. Despite difficult weather conditions, they managed to make pizzas and hot chocolate.

Following on from last weeks’ Options presentation, students and their families have been attending Year 9 Parents’ Evening tonight. In addition to meeting with subject teachers to discuss progress, students had an opportunity to find out more about what studying certain subjects in KS4 at Havant Academy will be like. #careerseducation was in full swing today for our Year 10 #students Year 10 spent last week undertaking interview preparation with EBP South and their tutors. Dan is a professional working actor who has written, directed and performed in many professional shows. Some of you know him as ‘the voice guy’ for #HarryPotter in the #eagames ✨Dan is offering a film competition to our #students in Years 7-10. To enter the competition, you need to write, produce, act, film and edit a short film. The topic and theme is open for you to explore. We will be hosting a Film Premiere red carpet event to preview all short films entered. If you are interested in participating (acting and non-acting roles available) please see Mrs Kitchin. Students who were unable to attend their original flu vaccination appointment will be able to have their vaccination on Monday 09 February. The school nurse team from Hampshire Healthy Families will be at Havant Academy to catch up on any missed vaccinations.
