Year 9 Shine in Maths and English
We are always pleased to recognise students for their achievements and Year 9 earned an impressive selection of certificates in Maths and English. Awards were given for earning a milestone number of Sparx Reader Points, creating outstanding 3D Pythagoras model-making projects and Mrs Saunders was particularly proud of members of her tutor group for becoming published poets through Young Writers.

The Brilliant Club #students have been working with the University of Portsmouth looking at Criminology. They completed tutorials on 'The Dark Past: Exploring Criminology's History and Blind Spots'. All the students enjoyed the discussions and research. Our students asked some very worthwhile questions of the University’s Student Ambassadors as well as being fully engaged in all today’s sessions. Their work culminated in their final assignment to write an essay on the question "Do criminologists do more harm than good?" We are delighted with the way our students engaged with the programme and are looking forward to collaborating with The Brilliant Club again next year.
