A reminder to all parents/carers that the NHS School Age Immunisation Service will be attending School on Monday 24 November 2025 to administer the annual Nasal Flu Vaccination for your child. Full details about the 24 November and vaccinations arrangements has been re-shared via Arbor accounts today. If you have any further questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact the school by email Enquiries@havant-tkat.org and a member of our staff will respond. Friday 14th will be a non-school uniform day in support of Children in Need. https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/ Students need to bring in £1 to wear non-school uniform, However, they can also donate more if they would like to. Students also need to remember their PE kit if they have PE on Friday.

To commemorate #remembrance, students across the school have been busy crafting their own #poppies in their Life Skills lesson. Each handmade flower is a touching symbol of respect and gratitude, forming a collective tribute to the service members who gave their lives in conflicts. Our annual #PoppyAppeal Competition is officially underway, and students were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite creative pieces created by fellow students. @DanielLarner an actor and producer, known for Soul Brothers (2021), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and What Have You Done, Tommy Baker? delivered some amazing sessions to our #students yesterday to our Year 9 and 10s. The sessions included make up special effects, dynamic acting classes for all and Daniel working with students on their stage confidence. Daniel, "commented that some students who were really nervous standing in front of the camera at the start of sessions had tripled in confidence by the end of the session" Daniel went on to say how polite and enthusiastic all the students had been throughout the day. Our Year 7s attended the University of Portsmouth today for a Transition Mindsets trip. This involved #teambuilding activities to help students with their transitioning into secondary school and building resilience. The day also included a tour of the campus, understanding about university life, the progression between college to university and understanding about the courses and societies on offer. URGENT UPDATE Due to a loss of water supply across the whole of the school, Havant Academy has to close (Friday 24 October) for the health and safety of our students and staff. The closure is necessary and immediate because of a loss of service to the local PO9 area and is affecting all schools. Your child will contact you for permission to leave site, or ask a member of staff to do so for them. They will not leave without this permission from you. Hospitality Takeover Success! Today 14 of our Year 10 Hospitality & Catering #students attended the #TakeoverDay at DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole The event was organised by Springboard to inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals. Our students dived into a series of hands-on workshops led by industry experts, including: A fascinating talk from the Executive Head Chef on food waste management and AI-powered tech 👩🍳 A fun mocktail-making session 🍹 An exclusive hotel tour 🏨 A creative session on social media & marketing 📈 A housekeeping challenge — where our Havant Academy teams came out on top, winning 2 of 3 bed-making battles bed 🛏️ The day was wrapped up with a celebration ceremony and a big shout-out to Kheahna, who picked up an award 🥇 A huge thank you to Springboard and Double Tree Hilton for an incredible day of learning, teamwork, and inspiration!
